I have tried to buy the Kindle version of the Starch Solution both using my Kindle and via the Amazon US site on several occasions but without any success. My Kindle cannot find it and it is not listed as available to buy in Kindle version on the Amazon site. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I am in Greece. I would not have thought that my physical location should be a problem.

Are you trying to get it via the main (USA) site? I have bought it and and other Kindle books at that site--even though I am in China--with no problems.

If you still cannot get it, you can send an email to the helpful amazon.com people.

Yes, I have been trying to purchase the book from the main US site and have never had any problems until now. I will follow your advice and contact Amazon to ask them about the issue.

It may have just not been released there. I buy everything through amazon with no issues but here in NZ i couldnt get it and apparently it hasnt been released on kindle in Australia either

I finally had time to write to Amazon customer service yesterday to enquire why I could not purchase the Kindle version of The Starch Solution. Although I have had two replies I have received no explanation, but when I was told in the second reply that I could download the book at the link provided there was a message in the top right hand corner that I had not seen before which said 'not currently available'. I suspect that the Kindle version has not yet been released for sale in Greece as M3F suggested.

I hope I will get another response from Amazon indicating when the Kindle version will become available or that they will provide a solution.

I'm sorry you had trouble buying "The Starch Solution: Eat the Foods You Love, Regain Your Health, and Lose the Weight for Good!" from the Kindle Store. After some investigation, I think I've identified the problem. I have confirmed that this title isn't available in Greece.

Publishers grant eBook rights on a country by country basis. As a result, availability of titles in the Kindle Store can vary based on your country of residence. We are actively working with publishers to increase our selection.

We'll consider your feedback as we plan further improvements. Customer feedback like yours is always important to us. I'll be sure to pass your message along to the appropriate people as we continue to determine ways to improve the Kindle experience for our customers.

I guess now those of you who live in countries other than the US will have to write to Dr. McDougall and ask him to tell his publisher, or write directly to Rodale Press, to allow the Kindle version for your countries. I can't think of any other way to do it.

Thanks for your suggestions VeggieSue. I've just emailed Dr McDougall and will probably contact Rodale too.

Unfortunately Dr McDougall is unable to help and Rodale did not send a satisfactory reply to either of my two emails. It seems I will have to wait until I return to the UK to purchase the Kindle version.

I can't get the kindle version in Sweden either. I guess we'll just have to wait. I use the US Amazon store.

I'm going to the UK in a week and so hope to purchase it there. At least one forum member has said that they bought it from Amazon UK.
