The times that posts are entered seem to be off by hours. They used to be recorded in "real time".

I know I didn't change mine with the time change. You can adjust it in your profile.

Thanks, Faith.
What is showing on the board is exactly 3 hrs. off from my current time, so I didn't think it was about the time change. I'll see if I can figure it out at the profile. Right now, if you post, does your "real time" show up as the post time?

For example, I just posted the above at 12:34 pm my time, and the post time that is showing is 9:34 am.

Clary,

It does appear that you are posting Eastern Standard Time, but everything is appearing as Pacific Time. That makes some sense since the McD Clan is located in that time zone.

Hi, and thanks, Carol. I hadn't noticed that.

My post times at this discussion board had always shown up on the board on my monitor in my "real time", since I originally registered here and set all the options. For some reason, at the time I started this thread for help about how the time was registering, my post times had shifted to 3 hours "off" from my local time--but I adjusted at the profile and thought it had been correct since then.

Recently carolve, the Board Monitor, "un-registered" me to try to correct a program problem about my not receiving notices at my email box about posts, which "un-registering" eliminated all my settings, and changed all my previous posts to "guest" posts, and then I had to go through the usual steps of registering, to "re-register". (The process worked to solve that "no notification" problem. ) The one hour time change might have happened then, and I didn't set it to where it should have been.

I'll test now here to be sure. I live in the Central Time Zone, and as I am about to post this response, it is approx. 4:22 pm my local time. Does it show up that way when you read the Posted Time at the top of this post? Is Rochester in the Eastern Time Zone?

I've wondered if the time that people read is adjusted by the board software program locally for each person's time zone?

Yes it is. Being in Australia, it's really noticeable that the board software adjusts post times to my time zone when I log in.

Thanks for the response.

I am continuously amazed by computer technology (of which I know little)! So, does that mean when I post here in Tennessee, USA, I read my post time on my monitor screen in my "real time", but the post time shows up on your screen in your "real time" in Australia? Do I have that right?

Yep, that's right! Whatever the time was in Australia when you wrote your post is the time I see on your post when I log in.

I'm glad to understand that better now. Thanks, Buffy.

By the way, the numbers you list in your signature line--congratulations.

Thanks Clary - that's so nice of you :)

A couple of my numbers have actually changed a bit as I've progressed in my pregnancy. My BMI would be slightly higher now of course, but the big shock was my blood pressure. Last time my doctor checked it, it was 80/50! I had horrible morning sickness at the time and feel much better now, so I'm assuming my blood pressure is back to normal. I'll find out what it is now when I see my doctor next week.

Thanks for reminding me about my signature - I think I'll update it as I go through my pregnancy.
