I organize a meetup group in Tacoma...we just had our first Potluck and it was great to eat with like minded people..not to mention all the great food...I made the rules { I can do this as the organizer } Whole plant-base foods with no oil, fake cheeses and meats or refined/processed foods...it worked!..even the new ones that have not been able to come to the monthly meetings brought great food...we have been meeting since November of 2011..I encourage everyone here to start their own Meetup group as I did and Martin68...here are our Links.....

How great! I just shared this thread link with caroveggie - who spawned the idea for the SF Bay Area one. Looks like yours is really taking off now. Haha - love that "rules" you made, sound so familiar

Thanks for keeping this going...everyone can join the Meetup and it's free..it does cost for the Organizer..but this is one expense I couldn't resist as we all need to pass on this great wisdom in Health....

They're great, we just had one. Also, if you have any related DVDs it's fun to get together to watch one once in a while.

The only reason I haven't tried to set one up is I have no idea where to have it? The only space I know I can use there is no food allowed!

But I checked out yours, and wowza, those are some really interesting looking foods... do you have recipes you can share especially for those salads?

Yeah! Thank you so much, I can't wait... then I can try them all out and feel ever so slightly less jealous of not being able to join in these potlucks, heh!

Ginger goes to Napa Salad

Salad:
4 cups shredded Napa cabbage or one medium size one
1/2 -1 cup purple cabbage, julienned
1 Carrot ,julienned
1/2 each green, red, or orange pepper , julienned
1/2 English cucumber, julienned
1 cup Daikon Radish, julienned
2-3 green onion, julienned
1/2-1 cup red grapes slice in half

optional
1 cup Rutabaga, peeled and julienned

I use my Mandolin or you can "julienne" them by hand

Dressing
4Tbs Sweet Chili Sauce
3 Tbs vinegar of your choice
juice of one lime
3-4 Tbs Braggs or reduced soy or Tamari
1-2 cloves minced garlic
2 -3 tsp minced ginger more if you really like ginger
Blend in Vitamix or blender

Toss Salad with Dressing and top with Pomegranate seed Micro greens or broccoli sprouts and a bit of Shredded coconut if you like

This Salad is all about Color...

giddyupgin, were you going to be posting any more? Ginger goes to Napa is so good I've been fantasizing about trying all the rest... did you make this up yourself? (hope I'm not being a pest!)

This is a combination of a few salads with some fresh ideas of mine thrown in...I really have trouble following recipes..I find I don't always have the ingredients or I like more of this and less of that in them....next time I make this it will not be the same.....it's just how it goes...
