I love Craigslist. I buy, sell, comment, lurk, everything.

I made arrangements recently to pick up some free educational material. The woman was a retired teacher and had expressed sadness that her grandchildren were moving away.

All the rest of that night and the next morning on the way to her house, I felt that I was being sent to urge her to move out of state along with her family. Maybe too much Christian music in the car. I was practically in tears.

So I show up and the woman tells me she's having a low sugar "event." While I get her to sit on a chair and wait for recovery, we start talking about her health. To make a really long story short, she had been a vegan and controlled her diabetes for a long time. She has since stopped eating this way and her health has gone down hill. She didn't make the connection but I sure did.

I had been sent to receive this vital message, not to give one. She has another son in this area and another set of grandkids. She has no reason to move. I on the other hand have been really loose with my diet and needed this kick in the pants. One look at this poor woman's teeth and obvious wig told me my future if I keep eating crap.

God is good!

Amen to that! And hopefully He used you to be a light to her as much as she was a lesson to you.
