I'm so sorry, Shirley. Words can't really express my sympathy. My son is 12 and is in remission from AML. But it can come back at any time.

Just know I am holding you and your sweet granddaughter in my heart.

JLD, hoping and praying for the best outcome for your son. Thanks for the hugs. I've received lots of them lately and feel stronger because of them. Going to church since my son's death has been strengthening to both me and my husband. Church family members laugh and cry with us. Our sweet granddaughter will be working through her grief for some time. I haven't seen her really cry and think maybe she needs to. Tears can wash out a lot of feelings.

Thanks to all for your support and prayers for us. God is our refuge and strength!
