All I can say is, no one can force you to do anything. You have the right to walk out. I do sympathize. You're in a difficult situation. I don't believe marriages should easily be thrown out, but I would have zero patience for that....zero.

hey bro, a few pieces of advice. Don't disregard the prayer advice in it healing you. I've SEEN prayer INSTANTLY heal people of lots of things. Even deafness, serious pain, semi blindness and much much more. Faith healing is not bullshit (some tele-evangilists are sometimes sleezy is what the problem is).

I have been researching mind/body healing for many years and for some reason, Christians do get amazing healing results when the prayer is done correctly with real authority and faith. You may want to at least try that because it can work. I believe in prayer for healing more than even diet (although I believe in the Mcd plan a lot).

Aside from that, yeah, a lot of that is not exactly cool as far as being cornered like that. Maybe meet her half way by seeing if she's open to going to a more liberal christian church and then meet her half way because there's lot of cool things about Jesus but when condemnation gets thrown into the mix, it sours it all.

There's a way to make it work where ya'll can strike a balance.

Look into Joel Osteen and Joseph Prince. They are great and have a positive message free of condemnation.

As others have said, your wife can't force you to believe - God gave men free will, and you need to clearly make her understand that.

I fully believe that Jesus wouldn't attend any Christian churches if he was here today. They've manipulated their doctrines so much into his teachings, that they have little to do with Jesus.

The immediate things that came to mind (aside from you saying you were being forced) is that she's going to a church that claims to following the example of Jesus, yet immediately, she's brought dissension and negative coercion into the house. There is conflict between the two of you, talk of divorce and bringing fear for their future to your children. This is NOT what Jesus would do, so she's taken a church doctrine and trying to make it what she lives by. (Can't be hooked up with an unbeliever) What's she going to do next, have the citizens of the city stone her kids when they do wrong?

How much sense does it make that she's supposedly learning about a loving God and the first thing that happens is she decides to either convert her family or destroy their relationships. That's not God, it's not Jesus - it's a church trying to add lambs to its flock.

This forum seems to be full of christians, so i would advise seeking help elsewhere.
