I did a search for Shake Weight without luck...is anyone using them? DD been using one for 2 days now and thinks it will be useful for toning her arms. I'm may try it....6 minutes...I should be able to handle that  Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on them. Thanks

I have one. when I use it it works great I can feel the burn but I need to learn to use it even when others are home because I'm rarely home alone.

Thanks, Rosey,
I did my first time this morning...the six minutes ended at about 5 and a half  But it is doable if I just do it...and I hate exercise. I would love a stationary bike with a screen...I'd watch travelogs

I love taking geographics on my stationary bike:) The shake weight I became tired of it really quickly. While biking:) I would lift weights... and enjoyed that more. I purchased a vitality step trainer recently and a inversion table to work on my upper body strength. The vitality step I use it to strengthen my pelvic floor core muscles and I love the stretch of the inversion table gives. Ten minutes on the vitality step, is like walking for 45 minutes. I don't have the time to walk... and because of my sight.. blind in one eye I have to be careful as I don't have the depth and perception.. curbs etc. I have to reincorporate the stationary bike back in:)... with weights:) So great visualizing being a Light Body:) on conscious ground all around.

Aloha patty off to work, mindfully walking, breathing and smiling... the best exercise!

Gypsy,

Not up on the shake weight though it sounds like SP has an inside scoop

I AM familiar with body-blade type device which is used in physical therapy for targeting shoulder stabilizing musculature and it is great tool for that if you get a chance to play with one of those! Looks so easy but it's actually killer for arms and shoulders. I used them as part of my PT last summer for recovery from shoulder surgery:

Shoulders, virginity, and the cute doctor: Rotator cuff injury.

I tired to order the body blade from Amazon but they wouldn't ship to Hawaii:) And that is how I ended up with the shake weight. I just didn't have enough arm strength for the shake weight. My granddaughter told my son that I had it and he asked for it to use. He had hurt his arm surfing... using the shake weight he over used it. I purchased the Light Relief for him... and I saw they have a shake weight for men. The salesman told me he was only able to use it for a couple of minutes.

I loved your surgery story:) and your site. I will have to spend more time on it. As your forum.

Aloha patty

Haha, the shake weight is pretty funny, but I have used one and actually liked it.

You can get a nice quick workout in less than ten minutes a day. And it is quite challenging I must confess.

Not really a total body changer on its own, put if used in rotation with your normal workout, it can definitely help and increase strength.

I don`t want to be overly skeptical here. There are so many products online, which just don`t make no sense what so ever! I am sure the vast majority of the people who buy this, maybe use it a few times and then get bored and never use it again. The only way to get real results is by changing your lifestyle and making permanent changes! 8)
