I pulled or tore or strained not sure which my right arm muscle plkaying raquet ball, it is on my right upper arm right at the top of the muscle where it connects to the bone right at my under arm.. since I am right handed I am having trouble resting it enough to heal.
IS there something else I can do to help it.
Currently it has weakend my arm considerably and it doesn't hurt all the time but when i streach my arm out parallel to the ground and out to my side or try to reach behind me.
Or if I over do it.. which seems to happen alot.
and I have found a couple of things that help.. at night I am laying on my back or left side witha body pillow positioned to hold it up a little .. this has really helped in the pain relief department.
and I am wondering too once it is really on the mend are their some exercises to help strengthen it
currently I am doing a combination or runing and walking out side
and water arobics twice a week.. of course with out using the right arm for the arobics.
But I miss doing my free weights routine and want to get back to it.

Just an update... most of the pain has gone away... lots of resting it which has been very hard to do being it is my right arm and gosh darn it you use your arm for all kinds of things
any way it is definatley much better and I am hoping one more week of rest and then hopefully it will be time to start some Gentle exercises.
