It's true! Signups have already been pouring in for this event.

Teleclass with Dr. John McDougall

As you may know, one of my favorite ways to forward the plant-based healthy living message is by showcasing the work of others who are doing important work. Teleclass guests in the past have included, among others, Julieanna Hever, Beverly Lynn Bennett, Chef AJ, and Colleen Patrick-Goudreau.

There is a new group on facebook called McDougall Friends where this teleclass was just announced as an event as well.

This will be an open Q & A call. You will be able to call in via phone to ask a question of Dr. McDougall live or attend via webcast, where you will be able to enter your questions on the screen for me to present to the good Doc. I'm expecting a flood of questions, so you can also submit them to me in advance of the call on facebook. This will put your question up in the queue.

Are there any plans to create a transcript of the Teleclass? I am sure those of us who cannot attend would sincerely appreciate one, unless there is a way to access a recording of the event.

So no written transcript?

I never sign up for teleclasses/conferences because I have a hearing disorder and even on the loudest volume miss a lot. I know the number of people allowed is usually limited so don't bother to attend. A written transcript would be wonderful for people like me.

Yes, it would be, yet it is also a whole other layer of expense in addition to the webcast service as I would have to hire a transcription service for that. I'm offering the Teleclass free of charge to listeners.

Which brings to mind, do you know of some good software that transcribes audio to text? I've been looking and perhaps you are in the know.

My pleasure! Wasn't it great? We both had such a good time, too - it's nice to be able to speak from the convenience of home and there is always SO much to talk about!
