No, there really is no relationship between pregnancy back pain and labor back pain. During pregnancy, it has more to do with the shift in weight and changes in posture etc. During labor it relates to the position of the baby's head as it moves into the birth canal which happens in labor.

Some possibilities for you might be doing stretches, getting an abdominal support belt, massage, chiropractic or physical therapy care. Hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

I have no great answer , except I had a lot of back pain with 4 pregnancies, and no back labor.
If you are concerned, you can perhaps talk to some one about relief during back labor. Do you have someone who will be with you during labor. I have heard that if the partner presses their fist into the back during labor, it can help. Not very technical, but worth checking ahead. One less thing to worry about, it you are prepared.
THe sugestions in the above post sound very helpful for now.

How far along are you? If you're in your third trimester, then you might want to hang out on all fours for 20 minutes or so each day (while watching TV) and walk for the same amount of time. These two things encourage the baby to get into the right position with the face more toward your back.
