Okay, so I planted a garden in May. Had mixed results - some things grew like mad, some didn't at all. Now, near the end of the season (I say near because I still have some summer AND winter squash trying to put out fruit) I have a garden full of drying up plants and asparagus with berries on it, etc. What do I do now? Do I cut it all up and yard debris it and start prepping my soil for next year? Do I plow (sort of) it all under? Do I leave it be and look at the ugly all winter?
Also, I'm thinking to try some lettuces and greens for the winter. I live in the Pacific NW - cool, rainy winters. Should I grow these things in the house in a sunny (relatively of course) location? Or outside in containers? Or out in the yard? Any tips?
I had great fun with what did grow and have spaghetti squash "curing" all over the house. Will eat the first one tonight!
