I planted edamame and faithfully watered until the seeds sprouted. I check on them everyday and something nibbles the tender leaves on a regular basis. The poor things are just little green sticks although they keep regrowing their leaves.

Does anyone know what might be eating them? I'm thinking slugs or rodent of some sort, I don't think deer get into my cul de sac very often.

Those soybeans (as well as other beans) are very, very yummy to rabbits, especially when the plants are young. A couple of years ago we had an especially large rabbit population, and I was unable to grow beans at all! They ate every one.

If you can cover these now with a floating row cover (also called Reemay), a breathable garden fabric, and weight down the edges, you may be able to save the plants. In my case, this worked fine until the wind blew the cover off, and the rabbits quickly moved in!
