I was thinking of ordering some. Anyone know anything about that. I see they are cheap. I am not sure this is the best time to do it. Not sure if they winter over well or not. I sure have the food source.

Uh, in the autumn they always tried to get into the house to escape the cold. The cats loved it, but we didn't.

at least you had some to get in. I haven't seen one lady bug for a couple years. Lightening bugs is another that I never see. I did get one praying mantis off some decorative items Mom was putting in the attic and let him out.

What was weird, is this year I saw a couple grasshoppers. I never saw grasshoppers in this area.

Perhaps you might call it a lady bird beetle. This is a beneficial insect, preying on aphids. Here you go...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coccinellidae This is not to be confused with another common beetle, one that makes you swear a lot when you see it....... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cucumber_beetle There are others that can make you swear as well, but the cucumber beetle was the scourge of my cucumber crop annually. I gave up trying to grow them as I did not want to use insecticides.

You can buy them online and they so ship them, live ones. Hey if you think you can catch them, I'll pay the shipping :-)
