I ordered one of those winged compost turners, but instead of following Kittyadventures suggestion, I went to ebay and bought one. It was from Gaiam, which is a company I've dealt with before.

At the same time while I was searching, I came across a composter tumbler - this large capsule like thing (tumbleweed is one brand but this wasn't one of them) really cheap, so I put a bid on it. You'd be surprised at how many people are out there buying composters. It kept going higher and higher. I kept losing, so kept increasing the bid. Finally when I left work yesterday I noticed the closing time and made a note to go online around 9pm to try and win this composter.

In the meantime I knew my little compost turner tool was already shipped. I figured I'll be all set with two and be able to store green grass and food, and then mix it with my brown leaves in the fall. I already have a lot of mixings ready.

I get home, and Mom tells me there is a big box at the door. the only thing I'm expecting is a pedometer and my turner tool so how big can the box be? Well, it was big. So I figured ok it's got to be screwed together. Then I picked up the box. It was heavy. I started dragging it down the stairs, and I saw the sticker on it - Turning Compost. Could it be?

Well I had to open and find out what it was, and sure enough it was a compost container, with wheels to help turn it. The paperwork said Compost Turner. I am not sure I'd ever get this mess straightened. I'm tempted to keep it to help balance all the times I've been ripped off and stolen from.

LOL Faith I am dying of laughter here.
HEhehehe

How much did you pay for it. and was it a used one? if you got it for anything less thqan 50 dollars you hold onto that puppy those things cost a bundle when you buy them new like 275 bucks or more depending on the type you buy!

LOL and not the thing I was telling you to order. LOLOL this is like the best online order story I ever heard.

LOL Ordered compost turner recieved composter. This is just too too funny!

@Hrtz snicker if only I had the same turner help you have.

Ohhh Faith just thought of one more thing in regards to the discrepancy in price you better go online and chek you credit card balance to be sure you didn't get charged for the composter like I said the discrepency in price 20 dollars versus 200+ dollars.

I had already thought of that and Nope only $20 came out. The company never contacted me, so it is now full of grass, moist shredded paper, leaves that sat over the winter and bugs.

I was so excited, I did the daily turning yesterday and opened to peek and it was so hot inside. I think I did it. It was steaming up a store and hot, and we were overcast and high 70's. :D

I did end up ordering a turner from the company you suggested. I think I could use it for both. I need to get this old one together so It'll stay together. I think I need a man to help me.

Hrtz is right... I am lucky and have a good man but really I could do it myself at least most of it and what I can't I could get a woman friend to come by and help me if need be.

Oh I know. Gosh I've been alone for 24 yrs. That is one reason I'm always trying to improve and make myself stronger. I'm not getting younger. Sometimes it would be nice to have the hand strength and the extra brain.
