I can vouch for that
I was a skinny salad and meat eater. My thinking was - protein and nutrient dense veggies.
Not so smart.
Thin isn't everything
I still do lots of veggies (my favorite food) and starches.
I feel and look better and my bloodwork is good.
Protein did nothing for my kidney disease or IBS , starches make a huge difference.
I am in my fifties now and what I eat shows up much more in every aspect of my health.
This has for sure been my experience.
As much as I appreciate the testimonials from those who lost weight and reversed their weight related diseases, I appreciate these so much more. I'm 36 years old, skinny and athletic my entire life. I've always tried to eat healthy, I used to make sure I ate my yogurt and fish regularly.
Then in my search for "healthy foods", I stumbled onto Dr. M a little over a year ago. It just makes sense, and with a completely supportive husband, we switched overnight. Cleaned out the kitchen and went shopping.
Although I'm in perfect health now, my goal is to remain that way the rest of my life.
