I do not count grams of protein but my brother who is on a mostly plant based diet except for those egg whites that come in a carton which he eats every other morning, says he is hard put to get the 60 grams of protein which he says he needs for his height and weight. He ends up eating half a bag of lima beans in the evening to make up the 60 grams. His diet is pretty much the same every day as he eats frozen vegies, a potato, sometimes a whole wheat tortilla, a little fruit and some beans. He thinks it is hard to get adequate protein eating plant based. He finds the amount of protein by using the internet but I do not think he uses the cronometer.

Tell him to use cronometer. Yesterday I had 70g of protein and my % of calories from protein was still low(10,8%), but I ate more than 2000 calories. On other days my protein is 50-60g and I rarely eat any legumes. I usually eat rice, oats, broccoli, spinach, chinese cabbage, apples and bananas.

My typical day is about 1500 calories, 1 cup legumes, no grains, an ounce of so of raw seeds. Protein runs right around 60 grams
