Jeff,

So, with the hooplah around "wheat belly" and how it's different now and not healthy to consume...

Can you weigh in on this? I eat quite a bit of wheat (whole wheat/40% extra fiber bread, whole wheat cereal, bulgur...etc).

Thanks,
Dylan

There is no hooplah here about it.

Enjoy it best in its intact form (wheat berries) or next best in its minimally processed unrefined forms like whole grain pasta and tortillas & breads that pass the guidelines.

If you have celiac or a sensitivity, avoid it

In health
Jeff

Only a minority of people have 'difficulties' with wheat, namely gluten.
Bulghar wheat which is used in tabouli also falls within the guidelines. It's also much quicker to prepare than wheat berries.

Yep - exactly why I started buying bulgur in the first place (once I learned what it was via McD) - the quick cooking time. I like the whole wheat couscous but tend to eat to much of that, so usually stick with bulgur or potatoes.

Thanks,
Dylan
