do we NEED to add flaxseed or other mega 3 course to our MWL diet of starches,vegetables,beans and 2 fruits daily?
We do not "need" any particular individual food.
We do need to consume essential nutrients of which omega 3
's are one of them.
Most all plant foods contain essential fats including fruits, veggies, starchy vegetables, intact whole grains and legumes. In addition, some plant foods are richer sources of omega 3
and these include flax seed and walnuts.
If you are concerned whether your food choices are supplying enough omega 3
, you can easily input your choices into the CRON O Meter and see how you are doing.
If you are low, you can make adjustments in the food so you meet the recommended levels.
