Hi Jeff,
I posted about my problem in another thread but people suggested I should ask you. I have been on McDougall's diet for about 6 months now and seem to have issues with high blood sugar on this diet. I am not overweight (some even consider me a bit on the underweight side) and I try to exercise about 15-30 minutes at day.
I love the diet but this concerns me a great deal. For example, my fasting blood sugar is 116 (or 6.4) in the mornings and the night before it is 124 (or 6.

2,5 hours after my last meal. When I started the diet my fasting blood sugar was around 88 (4,9).
I have been eating nothing but starches, beans and vegetables. I very rarely eat fruit and pasta. I'm on a gluten free diet. I can measure my blood sugar because I have a glucose meter. I bought one because I started to feel weird two months into the diet (I would shake after a meal... that problem doesn't trouble me any more).
I'm not sure what to do but I thought I would reorder my meals somewhat - eat a larger portion in the morning and smaller ones throughout the day. If that doesn't help, I'm off to a doctor to get my diagnosis underway.
