So sick today. I really don't want to go into details. :-(

I did eat a lot of fruit, it seemed like the only thing I could really stomach. I know that isn't very good for weight loss but since I didn't eat much of anything else, I presume it's ok.

I am so weak and tired right now. I think tomorrow I will take the day off from exercise and take it easy. I hope it doesn't stop me from exercising when I get better!

Breakfast: Hashbrowns (No peels)
Snack: Peach
Drink: Water

Lunch: Fresh figs, nectarine
Snack: Apple
Drink: Water

Dinner: 3 small bowls of stew (I paced myself over a couple of hours)
Snack: Fresh figs
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 150 crunches, 7 push-ups, and 10 minutes foundation

YEAH! One week of straight McDougalling! :D

I NEVER thought I would do this! For so long I had been "pseudo-McDougalling" eating plan approved meals and eating whatever vegan treat in between.

Here's to another week! I can do this!!! :D

I am feeling even more better today. However, I did feel a little ravenous for sugar. Instead, I ate something with starch in it. I felt better.

However, I have a sore tooth (I won't go into details), and I'm not sure how soon I will be able to see my dentist (He's coming back from a 2-week vacation!). In the meantime, I might be tempted to drink vega instead of eating. This is not good because it isn't low fat, and it's processed. So, I'll try to be radical and try mashed potatoes and a regular old smoothie to tie me over tomorrow. :)

I did some exercises today, but I didn't feel like doing a whole lot. However, I am happy with what I did! :)

Breakfast: Hashbrowns (No peel)
Snack: Peach
Drink: Water

Lunch: Stew
Snack: Nectarine, hashbrowns (no peel)
Drink: Water

Dinner: Stew
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 150 crunches, 8 push ups, 10 minutes Foundation

Still quite happy to be on this WOE. I had some major food cravings today - someone mention hot chocolate...mmm...but then I reminded myself that I have dried figs. Those are saving me! I was so tired this morning and had trouble thinking...I made mistakes. I did not have coffee! I moved on. I had trouble speaking because of congestion, and I had to repeat myself a lot to people. I did not have sugar-caffeine-full tea. :D

I seem to be having some serious acid reflux issues. So, I am cutting out onions and garlic, and cutting way back on hot spices (I'm only adding enough to balance the flavours). No habaneros! I think I can live with that! This is all a learning process.

I am happy with how things are going now. I eat a big bowl of brown rice and veggies or a ton of potatoes. Things are good! :)

Breakfast: Leftover stew, grits w/ hot sauce(small serving)
Snack: Peach, 2 figs
Drink: Water

Lunch: 2 large potatoes, peeled and steamed
Snack: 4 dried figs
Drink: Water

Dinner: Eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes over brown rice
Snack: Nectarine
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 150 crunches, 8 push ups, 10 minutes Foundation

Today I cut way back on the amount of hot spice. No heartburn. After reading over "Digestive Tune-Up", I realised how many of the things I used to be eating were causing heartburn. I also realised that one of my favourite things to eat now (green peppers) can also trigger it. I'm going to cut back on the hot stuff, and see if that's enough.

I have been extremely tired latey. Today I even took a nap. I hope it's just temporary. I really struggle during the day when I try to wake up but just can't.

I had some intense sugar cravings today. It's nice that they were always mitigated when I ate some starches! Hopefully that's all it is - I'm secretly craving starches! :)

Breakfast: Hashbrowns (No peel)
Snack: Apple
Drink: Water

Lunch: Veggies from last night w/ rice x 2 small servings
Snack: 4 dried figs
Drink: Water

Dinner: Portabella mushrooms, green peppers, cauliflower, and tomatoes servced over rice
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 150 crunches, 8 push ups, 10 minutes Foundation

I am really starting to feel better. I think I have found where my major issues are and what to do about them. I was really interested to hear what Dr. M had to say about acid reflux and asthma. That really hit home. For years I had just suffered through acid reflux, and in that time my respiratory problems got worse. It will be interesting to see if that's the cause. :\

I have been very tired lately. I am struggling to get through the morning. I just want caffeine. It's been nearly two weeks and I am surprised that I am still having cravings. Maybe it just needs more time? :|

I feel as if the chamomile tea with honey is a bit of a crutch for me. However, right now, I know things are working very well for me. And, as they say, if it isn't broken, don't fix it! I guess I'll see how things go. :)

Breakfast: Rice w/ leftover vegetables
Snack: Apple
Drink: Water

Lunch: Potatoes (No peel)
Snack: 4 dried figs
Drink: Water

Dinner: Rice w/ leftover vegetables
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 150 crunches, 8 push ups, 10 minutes Foundation

This antibiotics is throwing me through a loop. I need to take it, however, it is really messing things up.

I can't think, I'm drowsy, I feel like I've hit a wall energy wise. I don't know if I'll be able to keep exercising, nor do I think I'll have the willpower to not drink any caffeine. I'm not thinking straight. I forget what day it is, and I feel weak. :-(

And, I have to go through this for a week. I'm not sure what I'm going to do! :crybaby:

Breakfast: Potato, grits (Not together)
Snack: Apple
Drink: Water

Lunch: Leftover rice and vegetables
Snack: 4 dried figs, a blueberry-cherry smoothie (I tossed most of it, it was bad), What I made for dinner today (I made it early)
Drink: Water

Dinner: Potato, broccoli, and peppers
Snack: Banana (Another weird thing about this medication, normally I can't even stand the smell of bananas but today I found myself craving one!)
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 8 push ups, 150 crunches, 10 minutes Foundation

Wish me luck.

I have been feeling really sick from these meds I am taking (and I am taking them to treat something that they will actually treat!) However, I have good news to report - I have stuck to my plan! :D

But, I have been drinking extra tea w/ honey and a smoothie, however, this has been to stop me from drinking coffee/caffeine, and it's working. I do feel like I am putting on weight though and not losing it! I look forward to when these meds are done along with their weird side effects.

I am still exercising, surprisingly, but I don't feel like it's enough sometimes. In fact, I know it's not enough. I am just happy that I am sticking to a routine!

Breakfast: Rice and vegetables
Snack: Raspberries
Drink: Water

Lunch: Rice and vegetables
Snack: Smoothie (Just fruit and a little maple syrup)
Drink: Water

Dinner: Eggplant, zucchini, tempeh, and mashed potatoes
Drink: Hot water with lemon and honey x2, water

Exercise: 9 push ups, 150 crunches, 10 minutes Foundation

The last few days on those meds went well. I stopped drinking extra herbal tea and had a smoothie to help keep me alert. I tolerated the meds really well in the end. However, I think the smoothies slowed down my weight loss! So, no more smoothies for me!

Tomorrow it will be three full weeks on this plan. But, I need to do some baking for a very important event coming up. It is imperitive that I bake this ahead of time to make sure that I can still do the recipe well. It involves chocolate. This was a special request. I think to still call this a success is that I 1) Don't eat more cake than necessary and 2) Don't blow the whole plan and start drinking sugary drinks again! (The hardest thing by far I've had to do!)

Otherwise, I am doing well. I am now starting to have moments where I start to feel very good. They don't last long, but I have them. Which is an improvement. :)

Breakfast: Hashbrowns (No peel)
Snack: Tomatoes
Drink: Water

Lunch: Rice, potato, salsa
Snack: Peach
Drink: Water

Dinner: Corn on the cob, tomatoes, vegetable stew
Drink: Water, chamomile tea w/ honey

Exercise: 9 push-up, 150 crunches, 10 minutes Foundation

I'm feeling really good. Three weeks into this and I'm starting to see some benefits. My skin is starting to look fabulos, and I just feel so light. It is hard to describe. I just feel good. :D

My baking went well. I did not go crazy. I am happy that I am doing this (and so is my family). I am very confident that my desserts are going to taste great.

I am quite happy that I am craving whole foods over junk food. In the past, I would have gone crazy. This time, I am still sticking to the plan! :)

I am turning my life around. I need to make changes and I need to make them now. For too long have I been making a mess of my life and I need to clean things up.

Although I won't cover the whole extent of the changes I am making, I will, at the very least, post my dietary changes here. Starting with, keeping processed foods out of my diet and exercising more.

I'll be making green smoothies for breakfast and having either brown rice or potatoes with veggies for lunch and dinner. On top of that I'll make sure I drink lots of water. For exercise, I'll do Foundation, Wii, and yoga.

Every day is my chance to make the right choices.

Lately, I thought I was sick; however, I now believe it to be stress. I am dizzy and weak.

So, I am going to take things one day at a time and make positive changes slowly; that way they will last. :)

Lately my starch of choice has been brown rice. Also, I have been making dishes with a more asian flare. Lots of steamed greens, vegetables, and some sort of curry on top. :D

I have been exercising on the Wii. It has been a lot of work. I've also been doing Yoga, and I keep challenging myself with that. :)

Lastly, I have been drinking green tea and water. I have been slipping and eating peanut butter and some specialty teas my sister bought me. I can't help myself. However, with the whole of the changes I've been making, I certainly am a lot happier!

sounds like your doing good. I've slipped with peanut butter recently myself. Glad you are a lot happier with your changes. HUGS!!!
