Hey Kirsty!! I'm good. All moved in. Well, all my stuff is on my new property. The furniture is in the house and some things are unpacked and put away. Still lots left in boxes in the garage. I'm almost done unpacking my kitchen. My fridge is filled with veggies and nothing non-McDougall made the move. I feel really good. Thank you so much for all your help and support. The weight of all the problems from my old house have been lifted and I have hope for my financial (and emotional) future.
How are you doing? Are the kids back in school? Are you back to your old routine?
Yea!! I'm so happy that you're in your new place and getting settled! It's gotta be a great feeling...a NEW beginning!
Yes, FINALLY, the kids are all in their respective places and doing well. My older two are back at college, which is an accomplishment! My son wasn't sure if he wanted to go back for his sophomore year or transfer or what, but he did go back and seems to be settling in pretty well. I am realizing that parenting young adults brings with it a new set of challenges as well as joys, which isn't surprising, just exhausting at times. My oldest is a senior and beginning to make decisions about what she's going to do next. My youngest started high school, and spent the week completely wiped out!! Of course, the fact that he leaves the house at 6:30 am doesn't help! LOL! He was happy to have a four day weekend, and catch up on some sleep! But yes, things seem to be calming down a bit for me, I think.
Today is the first day of what will become my new "normal" for this fall. I'm using it to get my bearings and one of the luxuries I'm allowing myself is catching up on journals and posting here. I feel so "out of the loop" having been mostly absent this summer.
I'm glad you're doing well, and I look forward to journeying with you again!
