Thanks for what you said, Kristykay. I guess I love the way a good hard workout makes me feel. I don't do it necessarlily for weight loss, but I love the way it makes me feel. I know it is crazy, but I love the aderenilan rush. Your right though, I need to make a simple diet plan to stick to. I am going to plan a menu for myself this week. I am going to make it the same thing every day for me and see what happens. It is worth a shot. I have been thinking of trying rice and veggies.

E: 7 min. Bob harper workout, 4 mile run
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, 1 gluten free pancake
L: quinoa with veggies, edamme, sweet potatoes
S: apple
D: black beans and rice over salad
S: banana ice cream

We went and saw the Avengers last night. That movie was so so good.

That's a great idea, Mtns! I love a great, crazy hard workout myself! I was just suggesting trying something different for a bit to mix it up...but like I said...I'm no expert and I don't know what's best for you. :) You do, though :) And you're going to get there, sista! I'm rooting for you. Hope you have an amazing week!

Thanks for the encouragment, Kristykay. I have been weighing in at 148 lbs. for quite a while. This morning I weighed in at 146 lbs. So it looks like 2 lbs. weight loss. I am so okay with that. A while ago I got down to 143 lbs., but then I went back up again. I know I need to stick with this way of eating. I feel so much more satisfied with my food. This is a way of life. I love the post you posted kristkay with that clip from someone's journal. It was great and reminded me that I need to keep going and not give up and I may mess up sometimes, but I am way better now than when I started. I was starving yesterday, I don't know why, but I made good choices. We had a late mother's day lunch with family yesterday. They bought chicken, but I stopped and got a baked potato and a baked sweet potato from Wendy's . I ate half a baked potato, because my youngest son didn't want chicken either. But she did have a yummy fruit salad and a regular salad. So I had those and shared my sweet potato with my daughter later. It was a really good day.

E: 45 min. chest, bicep, 30 min. stationary bike( intervals), maybe 15 min. bob harper workout later
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
S: banana
L: refried beans on top of brown rice with salsa and a little avacado, broccoli and green beans
S: apple
D: thai veggie salad with quinoa
S: pumpkin pie oatmeal ( I was starving)

I had a great day with eating. I do believe the Lord is really helping with my eating. I give Him all the glory. I am praying for a good day today as well. I couldn't sleep good last night. I had an ice tea last night at my husbands baseball game. My body is not used to caffine so I couldn't go to sleep till after 3 am. So right now I am running on adrenaline. I am sure later I will be hating life.

E: 45 min. weights-back,tricep, 40 min. circuit cardio
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
S: a few sweet potatoes
L: thai veggie salad, hashbrowns
S: orange, 2 oatmeal cookies( homemade)
D: black bean burger on 2 slices of bread, green smoothie
S: sweet potatoes with blueberries

I had a good dayyesterday except last night I had trouble sleeping. I was so sore for doing pullup on the machine. I am not used to them and my upper back was killing me. I have had a busy day of running around like crazy. I just realized that Monday is Memorial day. I don't know what we are doing yet. We never really go anywhere, too crowded. If we were going to go camping, we wait and find somewhere with not a lot of people. We may just bbq and have a campfire that night, I don't know for sure.

E: gong to workout, do Bob's workout
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, herbal tea
S: apple with a little pb
L: 1 small oatmeal cookie while fixing lunch, I was starving from running around this morning, then beans and quinoa and broccoli
S: green smoothie
D: hashbrowns, carrots
S: banana ice cream, pretzles, tea

I ended up munching a little too much yesterday. I am working on not doing that. The problem, is that I don't have a lot prepared. I do so much better if I have food prepared. I am going to work on that today and tomorrow. I am going to prepare some quiona, some roasted veggies, hummus, and of course sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are my favorite. If I am hungry in between meals I like to snack on them.

E: 30 min. weights- shoulders, 15 min. crossfit workout, 30 min. jogging on treadmill
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
S; green smoothie
L: hashbrowns with refried beans and salsa
S: apple with a little pb
D: spaghetti squash with a little quinoa topped with spaghetti sauce and a few black bean "meatballs", big salad
S: watermelon, 1/4 c. oatmeal

Hi, I'm enjoying your journal and getting lots of great ideas! I can't remember what pumpkin pie oatmeal is. Do you have a recipe? Thanks, LauraA

I love pumpkin pie oatmeal. I love it so so much. I take 1/2 c. oats and water in a bowl and microwave until done. Then I add 1/4 c. 100% pumpkin from a can, 1/4-1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, 12-15 raisins and then I ususally add a little stevia for sweetner or you could use pure maple syrup or whatever sweetner you like. I never get tired of this. Thanks for stopping by.

I was so hungry yesterday, I don't know why, but I felt like I just kept eating. I did fairly well yesterday, I know I shouldn't have eaten the bread, I am trying to stick to MWL way of eating. I do so much better when I do. My husband told me today that we may go Cancun area in Mexico in September for a week. We have never been away like that ever. I am a little nervous leaving my kids, but I know that they would be fine. I have two older daughters that would help watch them. I am hoping I can stick to my way of eating, I am assuming so. I am kind of excited. I think it will be nice to get away. Since we have been married we have only been away for a couple of nights at the most and usally not far away. That has been 23 years of marriage.
Not much planned for the weekend. It is raining today.

E: 16 min. Bob harper workout, 35 min. jog on treadmill
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea
L: quinoa with roasted veggies, edamme
S: apple with a little pb
D:costa vida (black beans and rice with salad)
S: popcorn and some sweet potatoes

My husband wanted to take the family out to eat after church. I didn't have any food ready, so I agreed. We went to Golden Corral. I had a big salad with red wine vinegar and pico de gallo as a dressing ( yum). Then I had a baked potato, a little steamed rice and I did have some mashed potatoes ( I know I shouldn't have had those). But overall it was a good meal. It was nice to just talk together as a family. My oldest daughter came with her husband. It was just nice to fellowship together. Sometimes we are all running in different directions and it can be crazy.

B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea, a handful of rice chex
S: apple
L: baked potato, mashed potatoes, a little rice, big salad
D: sweet potato, veggies
S: banana ice cream

Well I gave in yesterday and a couple of chips. Overall it was a good day yesterday. I had some baked beans, some homemade bread, some roasted potatoes I made ( instead of potato salad) and a salad. Everyone else had rootbeer floats last night, and I had some banana ice cream. My eating today is messed up. I don't have anything ready so I haven't ate that great for lunch. I am hoping to have time to get my meals all ready and prepared. It is hard when I am tired. I spent the night with my sister, her husband is out of town and she doesn't like to be alone at night. But I don't sleep good at someone elses house and I think I hurt my shoulder/neck muscles last week so it was hard to get comfortable last night. Not getting enough sleep makes me depressed and makes me more hungry. I am sleeping at home tonight, so hopefully I will get a good night sleep tonight.

E: 10 min. Bob harper workout, couldn't do back and triceps today, like I wanted. 45 min. stationary bike ( intervals)
B: 1/2 c . pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea
S: 4 peices of tofu
L: veggie burger, 3 slices of bread, broccoli
S: apple
D: taco chikpea salad
S: banana ice cream or fruit

Your journal is very inspiring, mtns! I really need to try the pumpkin pie oatmeal and banana ice-cream. They seem so easy to make, but they sound delicious.

Keep at it! And congrats on the 2-pound weight loss. That is quite a bit for someone your weight. I can't wait to get into the 140s!

Thanks, proverbs31woman, this last little bit of weight has been the death of me. I have a confession latley I have been thinking I need to eat meat, maybe to help me lose the rest of this weight, but the fact is I can't stand it. Just the thought makes me sick. I guess I have been off of it so long that it no longer appeals to me. I know that is a good thing. I was reading Bob Harper's new book and he said that he used to be vegan and he was healthy and lost weight, but that he later felt like he was becoming soft, so his trainer said to add in meat and he did and he feels much better he said. I know that I see vegan bodybuilders who are just as lean and have good muscle as well. Then I looked to the Bible for answers, I know that they ate meat and were fine, but there were also times when they didn't eat meat and were fine as well. Like when Daniel ate the veggies and water and when the children of Israel were fed manna in the desert. I just get so confused. I know I feel great when I eat this way, it is doable and I feel like I could do this the rest of my life, but I just can't seem to lose this last bit of weight and just don't know what else to do. I know I should try the Mary's Mini again and maybe I will once school is over, but right now it is so hectic to be that prepared. My kids will officially be done this week, but then we do reading and math off and on througout the summer, based on what we have going on.

I looked into a personal training course and hopefully going to start the course within a couple of weeks. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

E: going to workout later( I strained my trapezoid muscle-so no heavy lifting) a circuit and cardio
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
S: apple with a little pb
L: taco chickpea salad with a few sweet potatoes
D: green smoothie, a couple of sweet potatoes
S: pumpkin pie oatmeal

I really need to work on food prep today. It helps when I have food ready for me to eat, especially for lunch. Today is our official last day of school. Of course we will do some math and reading throughout the summer. I am looking forward to a little relaxation from school. It will give me a little extra time. Tomorrw night we have my daughter's graduation. I will have 2 now that have graduated from homeschool. She didn't want to do something big, so we are going out to eat and having a bunch of people coming and going to have our Pastor say a little something. I think it will be nice. That is what we did for our oldest daughter and she really liked it. Now I just have 5 more kids to go, but they do grow up really fast.

E: 4 mile run
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea
L: green smoothie, sweet potatoes, 1 slice of bread with hummus
S: apple with a little pb
D: veggie fahitas over quinoa
S: fruit if hungry
