Just a quick post. I have to get ready for my daughter's graduation.
I am relying on God today. Just asking Him to control my appetite and take over with my eating and making wise choices.

B:1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
L: fahita veggies and tofu over salad, 2 corn tortillas
S: apple
D: pizza without cheese, salad ( eating at a restaraunt tonight for graduation)
S: banana ice cream

well the graduation was really nice. It was great to have friends and family there and our Pastor's talk was wonderful. I did eat 2 slices of pizza minus the cheese and a salad and 1 piece of garlic bread. I know I shouldn't have. I was full most of the night, but ended up staying up late and had some oatmeal before bed. I am getting back on track today though.

E: going to try a Bob harper workout that is lower body, then elliptical for 40 min. I am still trying to heal this trapezoid muscle it is getting frustrating.

B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
L: salad with fahita veggies and 2 corn tortillas
S: apple with pb
D: thai veggies and noodles, fruit salad
S: 1/4 c. oatmeal and 1 homemade blueberry muffin ( had to taste test)

I am still working on healing that trapezoid muscle. Last night it was really hurting and it has been giving me headaches. So I had my daughter massage it last night, it seemed to help a little. It still hurt a little this morning, but not near as bad. I can't wait until it heals up so I can start lifting again.

E: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, 1/2 blueberry muffin, tea
L: split pea soup with hashbrowns mixed in, spring mix strawberry mango salad with chickpeas
S: maybe salad again
D: maybe more split pea soup

We had a singing group at our church last night. They were so great. But I was reminded through one of their analogies that I wasn't fully trusting in the Lord for the rest of this weight loss and for my eating. The guy took a chair and said " Do you believe this chair can hold me?" Of course we all said yes. But then he showed himself sitting on the chair, he looked like he was fully sitting on the chair but when he moved the chair he showed that he was squatting and holding himself up and that the chair was not supporting his weight. He said, by holding himself up that his legs were getting tired and that there was no rest. But when he fully sat on the chair letting the chair fully support him that there was true rest. It made me think of the way that I eat. I do believe that God can deliver me from my food addictions and the rest of this weight, but I have not been truly trusting in Him. Like that chair I have been relying on myself. It is exhausting and tiring. I am ready to rest in Jesus and to fully rely on Him. I want that peace that only He can offer. I wish I could say that this is a one time decision, but I am going to have to make this decision everyday and every mealtime to just trust in Him and let Him take control. I want to be able to give Him the glory that He deserves.

E: 35 min. weights-bicep/tricep, 45 min. stationary bike( intervals)
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal
L: leftover split pea soup with hashbrowns, salad
S: apple with pb
D: strawberry/ mango salad with chickpeas, refried beans and rice
S: popcorn

B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal with tea
L: baked potato with split pea soup over the top, salad
S: apple with almond butter

I didn't get home late from Boondocks, so we just had sandwiches and green smoothie. I was so starving. I did have 1/2 a pretzle at Boondocks. It was fun, but very tiring. I feel I did pretty well today. I am so happy, I did burpees today and even though my back hurt a little today when I did them, now it only feels a little sore, not hurting. I am happy to see it is finally starting to heal.

E: 35 min. Bob's workout, 35 min. treadmill( intervals)
B; 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, 1/2 slice of gluten free bread
L: black bean burger, green smoothie
S: 1/2 raw truffle, handful dried edamme
D: brown rice with terriaki chickpea stirfry
S: banana ice cream, 3 rice cakes, blueberry tea

I made peas and thankyou's terriaki chickpeas with veggies last night. It was so yummy and filling. I got a magazine from the health food store last night and was encouraged to see a woman body builder and other athletes who are vegan. I figure if they can look that good, so can I . I know I will never have a perfect body. I have had 6 kids physically, so I don't expect those stretch marks to go away, but I know I can lose the rest of this weight. I love eating this way. Today I lifted some weights using my back and shoulders. I did light weights which killed me, because I wanted to lift heavy, but I didn't experience any pain, so hopefully next week I can start lifting a little heavier.

E: 40 min. back, shoulders, abs, 11 min. circuit, 30 min. intervals on elliptical
B:1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea
L: terriaki chickpeas with veggies over rice
S: apple with a little pb
D: big salad, sweet potatoes
S: fruit salad ( I got some yummy fruits-strawberries, cantalope, and grapes)

Is that from the book, Peas and Thank You? I have that book. Great recipes and I loved reading about her family.

I had a good day with eating yesterday. We did go out for Japanese food last night though. I had veggie sushi and steamed rice and some edamme. Then last night I made a fruit salad with cantalope, strawberries and grapes. It was so yummy. I just love summer fruit.

E: 1 hr. x-biking, 30 min. legs
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea
L: terriaki chickpeas and veggies over rice

I love Japanese food! I find that eating at Japanese restaurants is an easy way to eat on plan and not feel deprived when eating out.

I love Japanese food too. I gave in last night and had a couple of handfuls of trail mix. I know I shouldn't have. But I was determined to get back on track today. I need to make sure I have food on hand to eat. I am going to go clean my house and make some sweet potatoes and quinoa so I am at least a little prepared.

E: 40 min. circuit training, 30 min. running ( ran a little over 3 miles)
B: 1/2 c pumpkin pie oatmeal
L: finished off chickpeas and veggies over rice, corn on the cob, 2 rice cakes with a little pb
S: green smoothie, unfortunatly I had close to a cup of trail mix that had nuts and seeds and dried fruit.
D: sandwich with soy cheese and veggies, pretzles( I had 3 slices of bread
S: fruit salad, later oatmeal

I am ashamed of my eating today. For some reason I was starving today. I didn't have time to make anything to make sure I had stuff on hand. I need to get with it.

I had a great time last night with my husband. We did go to church last night and then we invited our olderst daughter and her husband to go out to eat with us. We went to Sizzler. It was nice to spend some time with them. I overate last night, but it was a big salad and a baked potato. Yummy. We had a spaghetti lunch for the teens yesterday. I brought my own food which was quinoa with roasted veggies and chickpeas. A lady asked what that was and said that it looked really good. God made such beautiful colored food and to look at my meal it did look really good. The nice part was that it tasted really good too.

E: 45 min. chest, bicep, 35 min. stationary bike ( intervals and HIIT)
B: 1/2 c. pumpkin pie oatmeal, blueberry tea, 1/2 c. o.j. ( we were at the hotel for breakfast, but I brought my own food, I was tempted by the o.j. though)
L: quinoa with roasted veggies and chickpeas, 1 slice of gluten free bread and a few slices of sweet potatoes
S: apple with pb
D: fafaels, big salad
S: banana ice cream

I see that you have pumpkin pie oatmeal pretty much every morning. It sounds so good - can I have the recipe for your version?

Thanks!
