ahh today was a nice day, in fact it was a nice weekend all around. Great weather for later Nov in PA and hardly a wind up anywhere.
I really need to get off the breads, no matter if my son loves to make up the homemade, sprouted grains, and use the vita mix to mill them up too. It is still bread. I am being real good with my oatmeal in the am, with some fruit, and greens daily, etc. plenty of water, etc, adn no animal products but that bread is a killer for me!@@@@the bread has got to stop!!
wish me luck anyway. It wil be a long week here for me.

Thanks LoriJenny!! it is so close yet so far. I am so fine with out any of the animal products. But really I tend to eat eat eat!! but I shall prevail, and I am on the road of good health, that is the main thinking. No worry of osteoporosis, and any worsening arthritis issues and heart disease either.
Heating up my oatmeal steel cut oats right now. going for my free oil change this am.
will not get off plan today at all! Baby reds are cooked and ready to munch on if need be too.
My wt seems to sit still for a long time til I really get in a ton of exercise and then it may more a bit more downhill... perhaps it is my age, too!! oh well, I shall get there, yes!!

Today was a pretty great day after all!! I walked the dog for about 45 min, and did a lot of work in the kitchen. In fact I am about done, and Ds is busy making up some vegan cookies. He just came in here and told me that they came out great, and no need to add any oatmeal to me.
BF: steel cut oats and cherries, tea plain
L:a huge green salad, some of my pickled beets and all with a vinegar dressing with mustard, left over pumpkin squash soup with brown rice and kale on top of it a bit of DS's snobby joe mix like 2 tsp of it
D: veggies mix on baked potato

snack, 2 red potatoes and 2 walnuts...
I did good today I thought, and do not plan on getting derailed by the holiday coming up. I really am not tempted by the animal meats at all, they all appear so greasy to me, and when I buy them already prepared for DH, I have to wear my gloves to keep fingers from being so slicked up and horridly greasy. He can eat that crude still, but it does makes me sort of sick just smelling it now. I wish I may, I wish I might, be married to a vegan in my next life.....

Thanksgiving Day found me doing it up proud. I had 2 sons at home, and so I did a dual meal. both vegan and turkey options were available for us all. DS, my oldest and dearest was here, helped me prepare all the vegan stuff and I had a country loaf made up the night before too. Youngest son was still in Atlanta and had a field roast on his own his said.
I am sticking to my WOE pretty good. The only exceptions I made is when I give in to any candy!! I should never do that at all. Phooey, and then of course I suffer all the consequences of all that sugar too. When will I learn?
I did eat plenty yesterday for our feast, but it was all McDougall too. Even the pumpkin pie, was no animal products. The mashed potatoes were creamy with with golds it is very easy to do that. plain veggies, and sweet potato and a big green salad to begin the meal.
I felt so good after my dinner, that I dug right into the clean up. DH helped me a lot for that and so did my oldest son too.
today for black Friday, I have already had my usual BF of oats, berries, cut up potatoes with some paprika, garlic and pepper sprinkled on them. OH, then I also made up a nice juicer juice of carrots and then squeezed some oranges into the drink after the juicer did its magic work. I love carrot orange juice. Or a green smoothie..
Have a great day!!
OH, son who just got home for the holidays, told me a tremendous compliment too. He said after a while of talking to me, you have really lost wt and look good mom!

ok, guess what/ my son has been making up some potato syrup, and it is very easy he says. He just keeps the water that is left over from boiling up some potatoes, and keeps it boiling down, and adds a bit of white vinegar to it, and it will make the starch turn to sugar. A tasty treat.

All I can say about today, is that is started out great with steel cut oats, an apple cut, cinnamon, and a banana, and then lunch was a nice green salad, toms, and bals. vinegar, then I blew it late on with some old ice cream, and choc sauce, and fritos on top of all of that horrid sweet stuff. Now I will need to recover from all that sweetness.

    why do I do this to myself. I will get back on track right now!!

It really encouraged me when you said that so I hope it will encourage you too. We are all human, so forgive yourself and move on. And to quote Anne of Green Gables "Tomorrow is a new day, with no mistakes in it." What a blessing!

Your doing great Carollynne!!

HUGS!!! love the pick up and move on attitude. that's how I got myself to quit doing that so much. Also if you are craving ice cream maybe make a green smoothie with fruit. It helps my craving for that.

yes, thanks to both of you, LoirJenny and Rosey, I need to do that. Yesterday was just one of those days, and we did have fun between the wedding flowers appt and then the wedding cake tasting, and I did try to avoid it all!! I have not had a smidgen of any meat at all, that does not tempt me now....... Yes we have a wedding coming up in May, more the reason to stick with this WOE too.
today I have decided to try writing down all that I eat for a few days.
I had my steel cut oats, with a banana and cinnamon, then also ate a lot of the pomegranate seeds, (only the juice off of them) then also had some of my sons juicing results too, cran- apple, and some carrot orange too. Those are wonderful. Oh, and one pc of left over french bread.....cinn tea, plain.
good news is that I actually threw these cinn buns right into the burn barrel and they are out of my kitchen.
Now I have written it all down 2x!!
today will a good day, son and I are going back to the bigger mall that we went to yesterday for their tux measurements and look around more. It is a very nice day, and so why not get out again?

thanks for the support you 2, I will be on the path of good eating today for real!!
