Need to, want to, MUST do this program again!!
My kids are both off to college, dh is agreeable. He even wants to go to the PROGRAM together someday soon!! He initially wanted ME to go but I said that won't be any fun alone so he then thought it over and wants to go so that Dr.McDougall is HIS doctor too.
DH is verrrrrry tall and naturally thin (and the kids take after him). He would like to lose about 20 pounds. I am 5'9" and very overweight. He will probably lose 20 pounds in the first month (it happened before). I will probalby struggle to lose 20 by year's end.
Rather than have one last hurrah, I cooked a MWL dinner! Breakfast and lunch were not any this program.
I am going to the store tomorrow to stock up on some veggies. I have a big bag of brown basmati rice and a new rice cooker - both from Costco. I have oats,quinoa, hash browns, baking potatoes, canned beans, canned corn, romaine lettuce, carrots and a few onions on hand.
I do have 3 or 4 of McDougall's book w/recipes. I am not positive I will be 100% MWL all the time but I think between that and the regular program it will make a huge difference.
I'm really not sure where I should be posting this. I think I will join the JOURNAL board (will just copy and paste this over there).
