A few weeks after returning from my 10 day Santa Rosa program at the end of January, my dietitian back here in Houston wanted me to establish a goal for weight loss and plan a (non-food!) reward for myself. He kept having me set rather modest and achievable weight loss and exercise goals, and I kept beating them - although not as well as I could have by being in complete compliance. The established reward was the McDougall June Costa Rica trip. I have now passed the goal of 40 pounds by the end of June, having lost 45 by mid-June. Now, I'm packing my bags and headed to Costa Rica this Saturday and I couldn't be more excited to be going an an adventure vacation full of physical activities and lots of good food that I can eat to my heart's content (I still remember how great the food was in Santa Rosa!).

See you Saturday Dr. McDougall!!

I went once and I plan on going again someday. It was worth every $$. Have fun.

I've kind of got my eye on next year's Costa Rican adventure in February. Not sure if I want to/ought to spend that much money--it's quite a big amount, to me; but it looks like such fun.

Sounds like a great reward! Were you by any chance at the Engine 2 Immersion in Austin last September? We were talking to a fellow named Denis there from Houston.
