Hi Rosey, I am a long time lurker and reader of journals. Just wanted to say how amazing your progress is. I'm particularly impressed with your biking prowess! I have half my body weight to lose too and was wondering if you would suggest any particular bike for someone like me who is still morbidly obese and hasn't ridden since college (abt 15 years ago)? I loved biking back then but gave it up as my weight and pain level rose.
I can relate to having a supportive husband/partner too. It is SO helpful. Even though my hubby doesn't eat a totally plant-based diet, he is mostly vegan and respects my journey on this WOE. I can't imagine changing your diet radically and having a naysaying spouse. Healthy support is so important when you are trying to change.
I started out with a recumbent trike but they are pretty spendy but when I started out there was no way I could of rode a two wheeled bike. As soon as I could though we got me a Electra Townie 21 speed it is great though I did change it's normal wide seat for a wide seat that has gel so a little softer. I'm to the point now that we are actually talking about switching me to a hybrid or a street bike.
Yeah I know the naysayer spouses so now that I have one that is supportive I appreciate it even more then I would have if I had started with that.

I will get there. I'd probably be losing it faster if i cut back on my fruits. I love fruit during this time of year all the berries and watermelon and such.
