4 years ago I had really good success with Dr. McDougall. I lost 27 pounds without counting calories, gained lots of energy, lessened my migraines, and my mood improved.
The past 3 years I have slowly gone completely back to the dark side.
Symptoms I am having right now:
Chronic fatigue... Mentally exhausted... Can't handle thinking about anything... Feel like my brain just shuts down... Constant stress... Behind on everything... Constant migraines and daily headaches... Missing work... Sleeping late all the time and frequent naps... Depression....
This past weekend I watched Engine 2 Kitchen Rescue and an old DVD i had called the Rave Diet. It got me back into the plant based way of thinking again. So I got out my old Dr McDougall book and friended Dr. McDougall and Engine 2 and Dr Fuhrman on facebook so I get daily updates on plant based nutrition to encourage me. Also re watched Forks over knives
Saturday and Sunday I started eating more veg but still some old stuff. Monday a little better... Today stuck to it pretty well.
I think the Engine 2 website recommends a 28 day challenge, so I think I will try and journal my diet daily for 28 days.
I made my first batch of oil free home made hummus yesterday. It turned out pretty good. Much easier than I thought.
Today was good
Oatmeal with applesauce and a smidge of brown sugar for breakfast.
Subway 12 inch veggie smeared with my own homemade hummus for lunch.
Smoothie from nectarine, romaine lettuce, couple strawberries, and a few baby carrots for afternoon snack.
Supper: White Rice with stir fried onion, green bell pepper, mushrooms, and vegetable broth. (I need to buy some brown rice)Weight this morning 206.6
