Today is Friday-weigh in day:) I lost a little more today, my goal was 218 and I hit 219 so pretty close. I am happy with 219! The weight is c oming off and that's what's important! My wedding ring has really loosened up. Dentist appt today. Gotta eat before I go to town so I don't get something off plan there.

dw 219.0

Sunday:

Saturday was a stressful day and I didn't have food with me, but I came home instead of eating out.

yesterday's food:

lots of hummus (garbanzos, soy sauce, red rooster, salt in one batch)
probably ate like 1.5 cans of garbanzos myself.
oatmeal w/stevia & cinnamon
vegetable soup with lentils (homemade and not very good)
LOTS of cantelope
almost 2 potatoes, baked as fries, no oil

so, I probably ate too much fruit and beans??? But at least I stuck to the plan which is awesome! We even had people over and hubby and company was eating bbq which I went and picked up for them, along with doritos, etc....so I did GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

DW SAT 219.0
today weight up at 220.4 maybe all the fruit late last night? salt?

I even excercised yesterday, went for a walk w/friend

gotta go get kids ready for church, ttfn

Well I tried to eat more yesterday of brown rice/veggies and my weight was back down. So, I think I actually need to eat more especiallly wh ile nursing so my body doesn't try too hard to hold on to the weight. I've been reading about the survival mechanisims of the body when calories are low in MWL book. I would think nursing would intensify these. I am going to try to keep eating more, especially veggies and brown rice.

yesterday's food:

oatmeal? can't remember
cantelope
grapes
3 large bowls of rice/veggies/lentils/soy sauce/hot sauce

dw 219.2

Emily,

Sounds like you are doing fine with your food & exercise. Dont worry about the daily weight unless you know you are eating off plan, then of course there is a reason for it. Just make a note of it & move on.

You need to eat to nourish your body, especially now.

You are doing great!!

I can't believe I'm to the last day of my challenge!!! I've definately learned some things and I'm so glad I did this.

First of all, I can't believe the 8 days seemed so long!!! When people would talk about 30 day challenges, I never thought that sounded long but then I did this short one and realized how hard it can be but I think that's because I wanted off mwl plan foods and couldn't have them because I made this commitment.

I have had some diet pop and black coffee. I have not eaten ANYTHING off plan! It's absolutely AMAZING! I'm not really craving anything right now either....wonderful. I'm gonna go have some oatmeal, breakfast is a little late today, been busy this morning. Then I hope to take a nap with baby:)

today's food plan:
oatmeal w/stevia & cinnamon
brown rice/frozen veggies/soy sauce/hot sauce
apple?

I had a goal of 215 by tomorrow morning (sept 1st) but I am pleased with my progress! Hopefully I will be back down to at least 219.0 in the morning.

I will walk this evening when it cools down unless it's raining.

Well, my challenge is officially over. It's funny cuz all thru the challenge I was wanting to eat off plan when it was over but today I feel like sticking with it. Thank goodness for the Friday weigh ins!

Total weight lost during challenge is 4.8 lbs.

I've lost a total of 14 lbs for the month! I wasn't 100% strict in the beginning and I had figured on losing 15 lbs/month for the first 2 months, but I had also figured on starting at 230 and I started at 232 and lost 14. So instead of being 215 today, I'm 218, but I think I have done excellent!!! The fact that I'm still here and that I've lost 14 is wonderful to me! Thanks everyone for all the support and for being here. It really is so great! I think Dr M is so wonderful for creating this community!

Sincerely,

Emily
