Simoncat, that tea sounds like a good idea. I LOVE ginger tea. I used to love the yogi brand until they started slipping stevia or something like it into their tea. They don't list it but I can definitely TASTE it, and it gives me headaches so I know it's there, lol. I guess making it from scratch is a better idea, I have a ton in my freezer.

Today was a good day. Went to a veg potluck and although there wasn't a whole lot I could eat our mango black bean salad was a hit and disappeared rather quickly. Now that I mention it I know I'll have to post the recipes.
This recipe is very special to me. It is one of the first vegan recipes I ever made, but also it was one of my mom's favourite. Before she died she told me that when she got out of the hospital she wanted me to make it. I guess I haven't made it in a couple of years for that reason.
Anyways, here it is, my olive-oil free mango black bean salad
3 ripes mangos, diced
4 plum tomatoes, diced
1 small red onion, minced
1 jalapeno, minced
1 can black beans, rinsed
1 or 2 avocados, diced
1/4 cup lime juice
1 tsp ground cumin
1 1/2 tbsp dried basil OR 3 tbsp fresh (Or more, to taste)
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
Mix everything together. Serve. Watch it disapear.
I'm sure you can leave the avocado out ot make it MWL friendly.
I tried some cold medicine today and it caused some really bad chest pain. I don't think I'll be trying that again.
Anyways, I am doing an experiement. SC pointed out to me that a lot of mainstream shampoos and conditioners have nafarious things in htem, perhaps that's why my hair is falling out. I tried some natural stuff that I used for camping and guess what, only a few hair came out. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will solve the problem!
