Staying on track! When a craving for food comes up that is not MWL. I just breathe and ask myself if this food will help me achieve great health. If the answer is no-just walk away. After all it is just food.
B: oatmeal w/ blueberries
L: green salad, Caribbean stew
D: green salad, stir-fry veggies w/ brown rice
S: baked potato, mango

I've strayed from the McDougall path but now I am back. Had a beautiful dinner of baked potatoes and lima beans with red bell peppers. Just going to keep my eating plan simple and just do it. It feels good to be back. :D

Glad your back. I hopped on/off the wagon so many times my first year . It's a big learning curve. I say the more times you hop on the better you get. Keep on keepin on

Thanks for the encouraging words sksamboots. So far so good. Had some lovely split pea soup last night. I bought a new pilates work out and boy I can really feel how weak my core muscles are.

Today it is overcast and just yuk outside. I am planning on making a roasted veggie lasagna for dinner tonight. I've looked at some recipes and I am trying to come up with one that doesn't have tofu in it. Somewhere I have a recipe for "cheese sauce" that used potatoes and carrots. Hopefully I can find it. Getting ready to clean out the refrigerator and then go food shopping.
B: cold cereal w/ soy milk
L: big salad w/beets and beans and veggie soup
D: roasted veggie lasagna, salad, w.w.garlic bread(using f.f. Italian dressing as butter)
S:strawberries, baked potato fries

Well it has been awhile since I've posted. I got a little side tracked by being in a weight loss study-until I found out it was yet another Atkins type diet. I've lost some weight by making sure I eat every 3 hours. So here I go again!

Welcome Back! How does that saying go? "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!" Something like that! I wish you much success this time around! You can do it!

Thanks kristykay and sksamboots! :) Just taking it one meal at a time. I started working out too. Man-o-man, I am feeling it. Just got Calorie Density DVD and Losing weight w/o losing your mind. Will watch the 2nd one today on my lunch break. My work is giving me an hour and 1/2 today.
Food wise I need to plan out my meals in advance. I know it makes shopping easier and I don't waste money on stuff I all ready have.
I joined a CSA and my box of organic food will be ready this Sunday! Super excited about that. :D

The Calorie density dvd is awesome, i've probably watched it over 5 times. It's great material. That's when it all clicked for me and I started to lose weight for real. Hope you have a good day :-)

This is hard to do but I need to come back and post. Been eating EVERYTHING that isn't nailed down :o and well I just don't feel comfortable being in my own skin :( . I know that some of you can relate. Just feeling like I've wasted so much time on fad diets and now it is time to do what is sane and logical.

This week I've been waking up at 5am to workout and I've really been enjoying it. So of coarse with this new zest for life, I've been really thinking about what to put in my body for fuel. That quest has lead me back to here.
