Wow, sksamboots, you are such an inspiration: not only in following the program but in the dynamic positive energy that just radiates. :-D Of course I want to do this - I want to feel healthy, wonderful, and successful, too! ('And sanity? - I might like to try that for a change.) ;-)

I'm good today! I had a smoothie for breakfast and I'm feeling nice and full! I'm glad to be around this forum and happier that I woke up from my sleep today to the sun and the birds churping away. I'm on plan and planning to stay that way :D

I have gone back to smoothies also for breakfast and they are filling...mine are bananas, strawberries, blueberries, sometimes mango or other fruits and whatever greens I have and flaxseed with about a cup of water....sometimes I even add some beans or oatmeal to it, depending on my mood!

I bought the new 32 oz. containers for my vitamix and I like the tops so much better but I miss my 64 oz. one. The shorter ones fit better in the rv kitchen. I thought they were interchangeable...blades yes, but not the tops. I wish Vitamix would sell the wet blade assembly separately! I am too lazy to keep changing them boack and forth! :D

Thanks for posting in my journal everyone!!

It's a hot hot Saturday afternoon here...I spent the morning cleaning the house as hubby is sick, so hopefully cleaning it will lessen the germs. He had a fever over 102, kinda of scary but it broke overnight, thankfully... He is trying to eat between a SAD diet and a mcdougall diet but struggles at time. He actually was doing great for 1 week, he followed the program exactly but then his SAD cousin came to visit and hubby got veered off track..He'll be back on soon enough. The good news is I'm not tempted by Hubby eating any of his SAD food, I don't know why. There have been times before where I was but I'm just currently in the Zone...Also he never buys junk food, he just likes to go out for take-out...So our house has no SAD food in it at all, so that helps lots....

I just had another green smoothie for breakfast, the best thing to eat during the heat I believe..I had spinach, bananas and blueberries--all very good! I'm having a great day and my body is feeling thankful. I woke up earlier than usual for the weekend, but I feel good and rested. I'm very thankful at the moment. I feel very connected to my body and my spirit. :D

Congratulations on finding the zone and clearing your house of SAD food. I also like green smoothies, especially in the summer. Hope your husband recovers quickly. :)

I see you got through the initial 12 days and I am very happy for you. It sounds like you are doing great, even when temptation is around you. Hopefully, as you feel better and better, it will inspire your husband to stay 100% and feel better too.

Thanks for posting in my journal and reading my blog, even when I'm not around much. It is so nice to check in and see that I'm not forgotten.

Have a great day!

Thanks for posting in my journal.

I'm doing good. I already had a fresh smoothie for breakfast, they really help keep the heat away and they really do fill me up. I woke up 4 hours earlier than normal (at 4am instead of 8am  ), send your thoughts my way, as I have a very busy day ahead of me :)

Are you going anywhere, or just catching up on sleep, and cooking batches of McDougall recipes? Either way - Enjoy!!

 Hello anyone out there!!!!!!!

I'm feeling great this morning. I'm not sure why? I did go to bed earlier than normal and I didn't have to wake up that many times to go to the bathroom. So I'm thinking I feel more rested. But also, I think that because it's my last day of work for a week that I'm excited about that too. I'm not doing anything for my vacation, I'm just going to rest and relax at home. Maybe do some deep cleaning in my place..but most importantly I'm not going to work!!! So I'm sure all that plays in how good I'm feeling today. I had a nice smoothie for breakfast, which I actually look forward to these days. I made up a pot of red beans last night and they cooked all night--so I'm having them for lunch. Then I'm just going to be watching the clock until my work-day is over and it's 5 o'clock..Then I can have a week off, being absolutely lazy :D

Enjoy your vacation! I know that excited feeling when you realize you have time off from work. It's full of hope and deep sighs. I love that feeling.

Great job Sksamboots!

My all-time favourite green smoothie is: Kale, apple, ginger, and lemon. If you are so brave, you can even throw in a bit of beet, but I'm not crazy about having them raw and find them overpowering.

Thanks for posting on my journal...I appreciate the comments!

I just got back from the local farms market. Picked up some lettuce, spinach, corn on the cob, and strawberries all for $20. Not bad at all. I'm just completing three weeks of following my diet correctly and not binging on fast food and I'm feeling great. I'll weigh in tomorrow.

I'm off to the city for a couple of hours. Then hubby and I rented some movies to watch this afternoon. I'll be around later :O)
