Yeah, TOO COOL! Thanks for posting the link to this fascinating video!

Having our highways produce solar generated electrical power would be SUPER GREAT! ...and the technology is there which means that this IS possible!

However, I wonder how "they" would keep the road grease and grime off of the glass so that the all of the sunlight can reach the solar panels? -- BUT, I am sure that someone can/will come up with a way. (We should never under-estimate the intellegence of our "green" scientists! ...and I guess using solar powered electric cars would be a partial solution to that problem.)

Also, along these lines, I think all of those billboards along our roads and highways SHOULD have solar panels attached to them, too (on top of them and aimed in the right direction).

Watching that video has put me in a great mood which should perk up the rest of my day! :)

By the time the bugs are worked out and this or something like gets done on large scale (if it does), we will have to have almost zero emission vehicles so MUCH less grease and grime will accumulate!
