funny I packed away the few too tight jeans I have, so Didn't have any to do a test with. Most of my clothes are baggy.

I was sore after the test, but I held my hoover for a minue and half. Forgot what the back extension was. I'm slightly larger than you. The two inches above was still in the 30s. My waist is high, so that belly region is fatty and larger. I think that minute and half for the test hoover is my best LOL. I am hurting trying to make a minute now. My stomach muscles were actually starting to cramp last night. So I'm not pushing hard on things. I was really bad off.

My stomach was cramping and hurting so much I took the night off. I think it needed a rest. Today, I'm sore, but feel like I can do the routine.

It is fantastic to see you all doing this core challenge. If you have any questions about anything related to this challenge please ask. I would love to help all I can. I want you all to be successful.

Cheers!

I designed the program to be done every day, but, the most important thing is that you are consistently challenging your body to become stronger. Depending on your fitness level when you start a 2 day break might be perfect. Pay attention to how you are feeling. If you feel like you are "dying" back off a little bit. It doesn't do you any good to push yourself to the point of total exhaustion, burnout, and then give up because the program was too difficult. Work at a level you find comfortably challenging. This will keep you moving forward.

Goodmorning!!
I don't think I'll take a break in between, it was supposed to be done for 5 days each right? I started it earlier this week so I think I'll fully complete my 5 days before moving on to the next week. Today will be my 4th day actually doing it, lol.
I do like the symplicity of the core workouts you gave VibrantVegan, Thanks for putting this out here so we could benefit from it!! I'll definitly keep you updated on the results!

It is suppose to be doe for five days and change routines. The day off did wonders. Believe me, you don't want cramps in your stomach (charlie horse type) all night. Yesterdays was hard but I felt stronger.

I am so embarrassed though. Last thursday when I pulled up the first workout, I watched the videos, but STILL did the plank/hoover wrong. duh no wonder my triceps were hurting. So for the first time I did it correctly.

I am dragging my core out to six weeks. It needs it. I think I had farther to come, so it's good. At least I recognized it was weak and started action.

Faith I think its great you're doing it! We deserves some pats on the back after this!

Vibrant Vegan, I don't like doing the first standing march thing. I physically can do it but I don't like feeling my hip move and makes noise and stuff. It feels weird. Is there a way to do it that so this wont happen? Thanks a bunch!

I decided to keep doing Week 1s core workout through the weekend and start week 2 today. I didn't feel like getting on the computer to print it since I'm here all week! So today I start week2, Faith have you started week 2? What do you think?
I definitly already feel my core getting stronger, it makes me want to do it more! I also went on a jog this weekend and suprised myself that I kept up with the goal I had set. Looking forward to doing that again!

First Bambie, I have trouble with the marches too due to my hips. The first few are fine then it feels like grinding.

I did start no. 2 yesterday. I need to pull it up again as some of the instructions got cut off. I keep seeing an improvement and yes, I do feel stronger. I hope this week to do the solid 7 days.

I started week 2 yesterday but kind of slacked off, I did a super hard workout at the gym so I was a little lazy with this. Doesn't really make sense lol.
But this and walking will be the only exercise for today so I'll put lots of umph into it!

Hello there!
Regarding the warm up marches at the beginning of the workout:
If if doesn't feel right don't do it or modify it. Don't lift your knees as high, play with different hip angles, just doe a few or skip it all together.

The most important thing is to listen to your body. Honor wherever you are and work forward. Week by week you will get stronger and stronger.

Keep up the good work!

Derrick

Glad to see your attitude Derrick. Some of us older gals can improve, it just takes a bit longer.

I'm happy to report, Monday evening I seemed stronger and steadier in hoovers. Tuesday night my stomach was keeping me stabilized during the bird dogs with arm/leg out. I am throwing in some of the hoover toe tap/heel tap, but mainly working on getting up to a minute. I am stronger but yet seem to give out at 50 sec on the first and the second one is even worse.

Yesterday I didn't get to do them before my walk in the heat. I got on them when I walked in the door. That probably isn't the best time to do them. But I felt good, and can see a tiny improvement each day.

Thanks for supporting us late comers Derrick. I can already tell some of these will be incorporated into my routine just to keep it up.
