Hi,
I'm new here

Have been fighting Chronic Lyme for 18 months now - went undiagnosed for over half my life. Has been quite a journey.
Anyway. I was recently diagnosed with FL1953 - a biofilm that prevents Chronic Lyme and co-infections from being successfully treated to remission. Part of the main treatment for this is a very low fat diet. It's recommended to use McDougall's diet.
I have a few questions...
1. I have Celiac - so no gluten. I do see a gluten free forum

So happy that my first concern is taken care of. I can easily do this gluten free.
2. I follow a Candida diet. Which restricts any and all sugar. This means fruit. I eat very little fruit and only things like berries, cherries, green apples - the low sugar fruits. This also, however means avoiding starchy vegetables. So not sure how that is going to work. Has anyone who was on a Candida diet successfully transitioned to this diet without any problems? Maybe I should not worry about the Candida diet while doing this switch?
3. I have other food allergies. So was wondering if this is something I can successfully do and still get everything I need nutritionally. I have severe allergies to SOY and PEA (also any kind of dairy and red meat - but that doesn't apply here

). Minor allergies (I won't die

) to Lentils, a few beans (pinto, kidney, lima), oats, and corn.
Since the McDougall diet is vegan (basically) - is this going to work?
I was vegan for years (not low fat) and avoided soy and pea. the other allergies were discovered later. But I try to stay away from them as much as possible.
Are there others here who are successfully following this diet with multiple food allergies?
Thanks
