Read Dr. McD's article on Paula Deen in the newest newsletter-it is just excellent, compassionate, honest, and hopeful. The offer is fantastic! How wonderful it would be if she takes him up on it.

I also enjoyed the article. Regretably, as you noted in the article, its all about the money. And equally regretably, we're all programmed from birth to do the wrong thing: to eat as much of the most calorie-dense foods we can lay our hands on. Why? So we won't starve when the famine comes. Hence the popularity of McD's, Paula's butter-based cooking and all of the celebrity chefs output. Why do people eat it? Because it tastes good to them. Is it good for them? No. Do they care? Not as long as food is being so heavily promoted as entertainment. Fortunately, we still have free will and don't have to give in to the barrage of food advertising. Stay strong, friends.
