Hi,

I just finished the book. It was a wonderful read and it felt true to me. I feel like this is the right diet/lifestyle change for me. I just had one question. How do I calculate the percentages of starch/fruit/vegetables? Do I have to measure everything? Your advice will be very helpful!

Thanks,

Welcome aboard, Pixi! I am glad you enjoyed the book!

This is one great aspect of McDougalling: You do not need to measure anything.

For example, whether you are using plates or bowls, it should be easy to (for the MWL plan) eat ABOUT half low starch veggies and half unrefined starches. You can adjust the ratio to suit yourself. If you want to reduce body fat/weight faster, you can increase the ratio of veggies to starches. If you do not want to lose weight, your can decrease the ratio of veggies to starches.

This has worked very well for me. You can see my story here:

"Eat when you are hungry and eat until you are satisfied." What could be easier...or more enjoyable? :?:
