I've been a member here since last spring as sweetfruitlover. As the name suggests, I came to this way of eating from a high fruit, raw vegan diet. I loved it at first as I have many food sensitivities and this way of eating avoided almost all of my problematic foods. But unfortunately, the high level of fructose started having a really bad effect on my body. Besides my total cholesterol, LDL and TG going up, I started having these horrible episodes that felt like severe low blood sugar and were probably some sort of detox reaction to the fructose.
When I started exploring other ways of eating and joined here, I kept the name I used for the various raw forums I frequented. But as time has gone on, I feel less and less comfortable with that name as I find I feel best eating no fruit at all these days! Though I will always love sweet fruit, it feels like false advertising or something. I basically follow the McDougall plan now and eat mostly non-gluten grains and steamed leafy greens and I feel really good on this way. Hopefully I'll be able to include more fruit at some point in the future, but not yet.
Since I couldn't figure out how to change my name, I started a new account. As for my new name, I love fairy tales, I have golden hair, and I could definitely polish off all three bear's bowls of porridge, lol.
