I am new to the McDougall program after many years of being a vegetarian. The last few years of which have not been particularly healthy and I have put on an additional 35-40 lbs. I have been trying to eat vegan for the past few months without any significant weight loss. A few pounds but nothing great. The vegan part was mostly fine but I was still using oils in cooking and found some great vegan desserts and treats. Not to mention vegan chocolate.
I decided to try the 12 day McDougall program and as of today I am on day five. Its early days but my regular heartburn and indigestion I would get in the evenings has gone. I am not feeling hungry and I have dropped another 2 lb. This is great!
