Hi guys!
I am brand spankin new to this whole way of eating! I have about 50 pounds to lose and a new lifestyle to learn, and I am pretty darn excited! If anyone has any tips, I would love to hear them!!!!

Started my day with a banana muffin (totally diet friendly) that I made last night, and a corn/black bean salad for lunch!

Welcome and glad to have you!
Congrats on making the decision to improve your health. You will find many helpful, encouraging people here on the board. Make use of it to stay motivated and answer questions...I learn something new everytime I read messages.

My only advice would be:
1. Don't be afraid to eat plenty. You need to stay satisfied or you will tend towards foods that are not on plan.
2. Don't get discouraged if you eat something with oil/dairy/meat, just do better your next meal.
3. Write down why you have decided to change your way of eating. Pull it out and read it on days when you are struggling.
4. Be careful not to fall off your scale when you start seeing the pounds drop! :P

I really hope so! Yesterday went well for me. I made some banana muffins out of oat bran, corn salad for lunch, and twice baked potatoes for dinner. Then made some strawberry banana smoothie and had one raw banana for a snack. It was a good day!!!!
