Hello everyone, all tho I am new here , I have many friends at church who are vegetarians that do use dairy and oils and eggs. I have tried this way of eating before and always give up at some point. I think it is because I still have to cook for my hubby that has no plans to become a vegetarian let alone a vegan. I don't think giving up meat is a big deal for me because we don't eat a lot of it. He is a hunter and fisherman so we do not buy any meat from the store except for his lunches. I think my biggest problem wiull be giving up oils, butter, eggs, cheese. I also work in a school lunch room and will be going back to work in 4 weeks, so I am around food all day long there. Enough about that. Just excuses I know. I was raised in a tipical family in north MS and still live here today. My family health history is terrible. Smokers, pill poppers, high chol, diabetes, heart diesease , high blood pressure. I have never wanted to follow family tradition. So I quite smoking 8 yrs ago and that made my psoriasis get out of control. I went on steriods to keep it managable and gained almost 70 lbs in the process. I want my life back like it used to be with vigor and energy. I did things . Now I just go to work and come home tired all the time. I also have psoriatic arthritis. I just turned 53 last week and I do not want to spend the rest of my life like this. It is time for me . Sorry for the long intro.
