I am a 46 year old woman, overweight by 20 pounds, no meds.

Blood test results as follows:

Total Cholesterol: 209
HDL: 75
LDL: 116
Cholesterol ratio: 2.8
Triglycerides: 92
Glucose: 90
Iron: 44

My Uric Acid levels were elevated at 7.4 MG/DL

I don't have any recent blood work to compare this to, and will get retested in 6 months, but am hoping to get some comments on these numbers, especially the Uric Acid results.

Thanks!

I'm surprised with the cholesterol being over 200.

Were these recent tests and after you went on his program? Which plan do you follow? Since you don't have past ones to which to compare, maybe it was higher before you started. So, when you get your new test done in 6 months, I bet it'll be down somewhat. I seem to recall that some people's takes awhile to go down at the beginning. I think your ratio is in a good range. Main thing is to keep on keeping on. Eventually it'll get where it needs to be. Happy McDougalling!

Are you following the program with no exceptions (100% compliance)? Which program, MWL or regular?

If you have exceptions, what are they and how often?

Did you fast 12-14 hours before the blood draw? Do you drink coffee? If so, what do you put in it?
