You sound like you did very well. The gain probably was more fluid, especially from flying.

I am so happy for you on the seat belt. Yeah, I remember that too. I hated being handed an extension. I felt like the whole plane was looking.

Just remember you can accomplish anything you set out to do.

Welcome LBV (lunch box vegan).

Fabulous - isn't that a great reward for the weight loss. That feeling never gets old.

Well, we will see what happens in coach next week. I was flying first class to NYC (my husband travels a lot and we have hundreds of thousands of frequent flier miles, so we do first class when it isn't too crazy), but I have a job interview (my "dream job" - wish me luck) in Chicago next week, and they are flying me in on a smaller airline in coach. I am sure it won't be terrible, but it probably won't be as comfy as coach (duh). I just hope I don't need the extender in coach, either!!

Thank you, Faith! My "official" NYC weight gain was 1.2 lbs. Not bad, considering that is 5 days of really having whatever I wanted, just in very small amounts. I had GOOD FOOD. Not junk food - good food. Worth the gain, which I know I will take off and more this week.

On the plane, I not only didn't need a seatbelt extender, there was extra on my seatbelt after I tightened it, and my tray fit nicely with extra room to spare. Oh, yeah!

km23,

Thank you for this post. It gives me hope for the future. I've lost a little over 13 pounds in 27 days, and that's a good start. BUT...your losses over such a short period of time, and then eating some of your fave foods...that is a real morale booster.

I have been thinking about what the long-term details will be. This shows me that if I want to have a taste on a holiday, I don't have to stress so much. I can get right back into our WOE and be ok.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

You're welcome! You can definitely do it. Life isn't all or nothing, but you do have to stay committed.
