I've been doing the MWL now for almost 2 months. I have lost weight, but am now finding myself struggling to stay on task. I really miss having some flour products, so I think I will do the regular program now, and see how things go. I hope to try some of the recipes from my new book: Everyday Herbie.....which is plant based. Thanks for all the encouragement I have received here at MWL.

Hi 14mad- I think you'll love "Everyday Herbivore" right now it's my # 1 go to for dinner :) she has some really good sauces and hints. Look for her blog and videos too!

Best wishes - Michelle

You could do MWL some days and have a few treats form the regular program on other days, I4mad! The scales will tell you if you stray too far!

Enjoy the best parts of both! :-D

I do MWL 5-7 days a week. I allow myself 1 or 2 days a week, SOME weeks to do regular McDougall. I try to plan my regular McD days around when I may have to eat out. OR just to feed my pasta craving. I think the secret is to make a PLAN. Know that on Tuesday of next week I'm going to eat ______________, which is not MWL.

The scales will soon tell you if regular McD will work for you.

I am new and still reading. Is the difference no flour, less fruit and more veggies?

Maximum Weight Loss Guidelines, gives a good summary.

Thanks for the link. I am wondering if I summed up the difference in eating plans.

Yes, I think you did. That's basically how I look at it.
