For the last 4 weeks I have been doing what I call Buddha bowels for meals very mcdougall friendly, I feed a large family so I prepare a big pot of starch ( potatoea,rice ,quinoa whatever grain I feel like) a legume always from dry state seasoned( lentils,split peas,black beans,pinto whatever I want) then a pot of a steam veggie with greens, plus cut up raw veggies and salsa.for the sad eaters of the household sometimes I do meat for them and they can have dressing,sour cream with theirs!! so we put the startch first in our bowel then top it with the beans then steam veggies plus the raw veggies then salsa or pickeled veggies and its wonderful and never the same.. easy to put
