No change for me this week still at 119.5 lb. I stayed on plan pretty much but really struggling to lose more weight. Hopefully next week.A friend has invited me to his 75 th birthday party tomorrow, Very fancy, catered with lots of cheese and meat and vino ....I'll eat before I go..Good luck this coming week everyone. Great job everyone. We're coming into summer here pretty quick. I notice that we are missing some people this week. Hope everyone is doing well.

Let's keep our losses going. Let's keep our mantra of no excuses going. Let's keep moving forward. If you're frustrated at a lack of progress, sometimes going back to basics works wonders for mind and body. Let's all remember, Dr. McDougall's plan is starch based. Sometimes we're tempted to eat a whole lot more veggies than starches to facilitate faster weight loss, but that often bites us back as we become too hungry later and eat too high calorie dense or even off plan (raises hand at having comitted both these offenses too often over the past couple of years, then uses that raised hand and pats herself on the back for figuring it all out :cool: )

We've got a few people very close to their goals weights. AWESOME work guys!! Keep up the good work.

Sorry I didn't get my weight in on time, we were really busy! I stayed the same anyways.

I started lifting weights and doing more cardio this week with a PT, I never seem to lose weight when I start a new exercise program. I wonder why that is, it seems to work on Biggest Loser!

I find the same thing txveggie. I think it has to do with increased fluid retention in the muscles as they repair...not sure though. Don't worry too much about it.

Hi, I'm really keen to start with the June weigh in because it is already so late in the month. Couple of questions though, due to being on the other side of the world i am too lazy to order books cos it takes ages and the only one available on kindle is the new one. If i scour the website and get the new book will i cope without the MWL book? Also can i expect much of a loss. I am 5'4 and currently 164 pounds and want to get to 143. aside from a very brief stint at 150 pounds for a few months, this is the smallest ive ever been and it is so hard to shift! i went vegan a month or so ago and have had a stint at raw to but everything sends me into a crazy over eating spiral!

that would depend on your bone structure as well as your height. My doctor thinks 110lbs is were I should be because I'm small boned but I told him I'll be happy between 120 and 130lbs.

Hi all. I am new to this and this week I lost 3#. That puts me at 132# @my small 5'6" frame. My goal is 125#. I notice a lot of people have much lower weight goals for my height, but I think I look sickly less than my current goal. Although I'm just going to wait and see what happens naturally.
