Can nuts be consumed in any quanities? I've always found that nuts, peanuts in particular, satisfy my hunger and actually bring my blood sugars down. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Nuts are not part of the maximum weight loss plan but they can be part of the regular plan if you don't have a health reason (like heart disease) to avoid them. Be careful, though, because they are very calorie dense and are easy to overeat. I eat only measured amounts of nuts and seeds. About 1 oz or 1/4 cup per day is a reasonable amount -- and when you measure it out, you'll find that it's not very much! Some people find that including nuts and seeds stalls their weight loss, but that has not been my personal experience as long as I stick to 1 oz per day.

If you look at my weight loss stats, you can tell when I was eating nuts by how little weight I lost. Nuts seem to be my current addiction. So, if you want to lose weight, I'd steer away from the nuts. AnneC
