Up 1.8. A combo of prednisone and a snacking habit that I worked hard to eliminate. That's my work on thing this week. NO mindless snacking.

He hasn't yet picked up the phone to make an appointment for counseling. The only thing I can do now is work on myself, maintain my focus and detach from the drama.

This morning my weight is back to where it was last week. I ate well yesterday (while alone), and felt more relaxed.

Congrats to Kirstykay for hitting her 100 lbs lost by Easter. Awesome achievement!!!

I think having a month of no excuses, taking acountabilty for what we do, is a great idea it seems. I was worried it might be taken wrong. But I too was starting with the excuses. I had none, I was snacking on things, that while still on plan, had no business being in my mouth to begin with. See my journal for more info on that one. I am paying more attention to my graph as a total than just my ticker and I can see exactly when things started turning ugly and I know why. The graphs are awesome and a fantastic tool. :cool:

Hi friends,

So, I'd like to humble join your group. I weighed myself yesterday at the gym and I'm at 207 pounds at only 5'3", so I really have a lot of weight to take off. I'm off to a good start with the McDougall eating plan. I like the idea of the weekly weigh in for accountability. I'm making my peace with not having my food drenched in fat.

I hope to make some friends here and give moral support and receive some. I'd love to see the number on the scale decrease. I just turned forty and I'm really feeling this extra weight. It's been in the last three years that I've really packed on the weight.

I'd like to make this a fun adventure. I'm kinda worried about late night munchies getting the best of me.

I'm assuming y'all are pretty disciplined with this, huh? I think it'll be easier for me to do it strictly than half-hearted.

Yes ,Debbie that's correct I was 120 before my trip ....I have a goal to get below 120 before my May 6th birthday I sure hope to be able to do that! Is there a certain time during the day that the mindless snacking kicks in??
have you tried having a nice cold mineral water handy for sips/ I always think it's more of a treat then just water. This has helped me.

Rosey - Wow, you too. You used to have fibro too, but that's gone for you now. I guess this water retention thing though in bad weather we are stuck with. Not a big deal once I know that's what it is!

yeah me too. I haven't been having the pain but the bloating is still happening. drives me nuts.

But I'm struggling a little. Being honest cause I'm really serious about doing this. It's like I get possessed at night with munching after doing well all day. I'm going to think about some relaxation techniques for the evening.

I'm not giving up. I was at 207 last Friday. If I've at least maintained, I'll be happy. I'm focusing on getting lots of walks in to boost the feel-good chemicals, natural anti-depressant affect.

I always have raw veggies ready to munch on if I get late night munches and water.
