Congratulations on losing 40 lbs.! As long as the weight comes off and stays off, slow is okay.
We have more to change than just our food, that's the easy part. For me, most of my progress has come from between my ears, having a determined mindset and a sort of tunnel vision looking toward my goal. Especially when we're tall, we can pack on a lot of excess weight and still look pretty good. Well meaning people say we look fine, then we eat, and wake up not fine one morning.
I lost count of how many times I've fallen into that same trap. This is why I'm not listening to any more people concerning my body...it's mine and I know what it needs and what I want it to look like.
