I've been eating different ways over the past few years, raw, vegan and vegetarian of all types, paleo, and this is the longest time I've been able to stick to Dr. McDougall's plan. I also do yoga daily which helps me keep in touch with how my body is feeling.

Veganjen, welcome. Another Bay Area member!

Sounds like your journey has been quite an exciting food adventure! Brown rice and lentils soups are among my favorites (any Indian cuisine). Just vegetables and fruits encompasses a huge range, as I'm finding out. And good for the yoga too; excellent exercise.

Thanks for the welcome...I've noticed a lot of Bay Area people here.

I hear some people occasionally meet in Pacifica. I'm down in San Jose, and so far no get togethers. But I've picked up tips on restaurants and places to shop.

I'd like to find a few McDougall friendly restaurants for special occasions, it would be nice having some other options.

Most of my shopping is done at Cash and Carry on Oak St. in Oakland. It's a restaurant supply that's open to the public and I get all my staples there.

As far as fresh produce, I'm still looking for other places until my garden gets going again.
